Power, Performance, and Advanced Control
The lightweight, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder CP3 engine delivers maximum torque at low rpm for an adrenaline-pumping ride. Optimised fuel injectors and refined gear ratios ensure smooth performance, while an updated assist and slipper clutch enhances control. Yamaha’s six-axis IMU, inherited from the R1, governs advanced rider aids like traction control, slide control, and front-wheel lift control. The Back Slip Regulator (BSR) stabilises braking, while Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) allows riders to customise their experience with pre-set or personalised modes.

Built for agility and precision, the MT-09’s compact CF die-cast aluminium frame follows Yamaha’s Deltabox design for enhanced rigidity without compromising responsiveness.
